Spanning a challenging half marathon distance of 13.1 miles (21 kilometers), this race has a Level 2 moderate terrain rating due to the sand and dunes. The course takes you through a diverse terrain, and along the way, you’ll be treated to some of the most beautiful and awe inspiring vistas, including long sweeping sandy beaches, undulating dunes, rocky cliffs and local wildlife. Additionally, you’ll pass by some of the region’s most iconic landmarks, including the Farne Islands and ending under the shadow of the stunning Bamburgh Castle.
The EnduranceLife Northumberland Half Marathon welcomes participants 16 years or older. For more details about this event, there is a manual on their website and information about pricing, but for an entry fee of £47 for the half marathon, you’ll receive a tech t-shirt, a well-deserved medal and energy bar. Moreover, participants gain access to electronic timings and there are on site amenities including toilets, catering and medical support if needed. There are also the benefits of add-ons such as parking at Bamburgh and getting a coach to the start point.
